Age 61 of Wheelersburg, went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday night, December 19, 2017 at Best Care Nursing Home with his family by his side.  Jay or Jaybird as he was known to friends and family, was born on March 19, 1956 to Jesse and Betty (Lawson) Bramblett, Sr.  He was in a very bad car accident 19 years ago which prevented him from doing most of the hobbies he dearly loved including riding motorcycles, scuba diving, ham radio, playing drums in a band, and nature walks with his dog, Red.  Jay worked professionally as an electrician for several companies including Parker Hannifin and the New Boston Coke Corporation.                                                             

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Bramblett, Sr.  He leaves behind a loving mother, Betty Bramblett of Wheelersburg; son, Eric (Lisa) Bramblett of Sciotoville; grandsons, Jesse and Christopher of Sciotoville; brother, Charles “Chuck” (Mary) Bramblett of Wheelersburg; sister, Lee Ann Bramblett (John Pick) of Portsmouth; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to make a special thank you to his longtime caregivers, Tammy Apel, Sharon Shuff, and the staff at Best Care.              

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Ralph Shaffer officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth.  Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be shared at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
