Age 70 of South Webster passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seamon.  He was born May 16, 1947 in Kentucky to Grover and Edith (Rudd) Hammonds.  For many years he was the owner and operator of Hammonds Hardware in South Webster.  Jimmy enjoyed raising cattle, working on the farm, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Hall) Hammonds; sons, Timothy (Ruthie) Hammonds of Winchester, Scott (Debbie) Barnett of Wheelersburg; brother, Jerry (Candy) Hammonds of South Webster; sister, Lavonda Grooms of OK; grandchild, Timothy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joe, Jack, and Phil Hammonds.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday June 16, 2017 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Merit Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call from 12 - 1:00 before the service.  Online condolences may be shared at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
