Randall James Selvage

March 28, 2017 ~ August 22, 2017

The Piano Brothers

Age 62 of Piketon was born March 28, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the youngest son of Donald Leo Selvage and Arvilla Jean (Walker) Selvage.  He passed from this life into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.  Randy was a graduate of Eastern Pike County High School.  He attended Shawnee State University, Eastern Kentucky University, Nazarene Bible College, and PIMA Medical Institute.  Randy was bi-vocational, working mostly in the accounting field while serving in the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene for over 20 years as a licensed minister.

Surviving is his wife Eileen (Rickman) Selvage, whom he married August 14, 1976 in Portsmouth, Ohio.  Also surviving is his daughter, Stephanie Selvage of Piketon; five brothers, Donald (Rita) Selvage, Larry (Judy) Selvage, James D. Rowley, Mark Rowley, and John Rowley, all of Florida; five sisters, Nancy (Charles) Brunner of Stockdale, Debra (Terry) Van Valkenburg, Gloria (Lee) Williams, Rebecca Rowley, all of Florida, and Pamela (Richard) Tennett of Pickerington, Ohio;  numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  His beloved dog Mackie remains with us too.  Randy was preceded in death by two infant brothers; his father; stepmother, Patricia Selvage; his mother; stepfather, James Rowley; and a sister, Donna Crayton.

Randy was known for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh.  At his request there will be no funeral.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Stockdale Fire Department at 2:00 p.m. It will be immediately followed by a party in honor of Randy getting to heaven before the others.  Two more of his requests are that no one wear black, but instead something red, his favorite color.  In place of flowers, please send a memorial contribution to your local Alzheimer’s association or a charity of your choosing in Randy’s name.  Arrangements are being handled by the D.W. SWICK – NELSON Funeral Home in South Webster.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
