Bill Blake, 84 of Wheelersburg, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.  He was born January 10, 1932 in Huntington, WV , the son of the late Otis and Rosetta Barnett Blake. Bill was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty June Adkins Blake; one brother, Owen Blake; one sister, Geraldine Stanley and one niece, Twila L. Hagwood. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
 

Bill is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Beasley Stone of New Hampshire , Donita (Eric) Hackworth of West Portsmouth and Betta Beasley of Seattle, WA; one step-son, Richard (Bonnie) Beasley of Waverly; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Tammy L. Ramirez ,Christie S. Kosztyo; one nephew, Stephen K. Blake and many friends.
 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with Dan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with graveside military honors by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.swickbussachamberlin.com.
