Estel Daniel Belcher, 88 of South Webster, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Altamonte Springs, FL. He was born January 29, 1929 in South Webster to Edward and Hannah (Altman) Belcher. Until only recently a lifelong South Webster resident, Estel honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He returned to work as a laborer for a steel casing company. In his spare time he enjoyed trimming trees in the community and picking up cans to recycle.
Estel is survived by son, Larry (Diane) Belcher of Orlando, FL; sisters, Gertrude Leadingham of South Webster and Gladys Fritz of Wheelersburg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; two sons, David John Belcher and Estel Lee Belcher; two brothers, Bill and Jim Belcher; three sisters, Edna Mae, Leona, and Zella.
Funeral services for Estel and his wife, Clara, will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.
