Estile (Buster, Ed) Hager Williams

October 29, 1933 ~ February 22, 2018 (age 84)


Estile (Buster, Ed) Hager Williams, 84 of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018.  He was born October 29, 1933.  He is survived by his wife, Joanne Fenton Williams, of 65 years.  He has one son, Frank (Connie Snook) Williams of Rarden, and a daughter, Nancy (Tim) Horner of South Webster.

Estile loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed playing pranks, wearing scary masks, hiding candy bars under bed pillows, and fishing with his six grandchildren.  Brad (Jessica) Williams of Chillicothe, Misti Williams (Mikel) Floyd of Ashville, Carly Snook of Columbus, Josh (Gretchen) Horner of South Webster, Jade Horner (Aundres) Perkins of Florence, SC, and Brittany Williams (Chris) Bolton of Rarden all whom he loved dearly.  He was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, JayAun, Jhani, and Jax Perkins, Reese and Reed Horner, McKenna and Maven Williams and Jaxon and Brinlee Floyd.

Estile was the eldest of six children.  He is survived by Ernie Williams of Michigan, Wilma Kennard of West Portsmouth, Charles Williams of Wheelersburg, Wanda Patterson and Judy Hagen of South Webster.  Also, many Fenton sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins all whom were dear to him.

He was proceded in death by his loving parents, Rev. Frank Williams and Opal Percell Williams.  Estile Retired as Assistant VP of Bank One/Security Central National Bank.  In the 1970’s, he along with several others were instrumental in production of South Webster’s very own bank.  Estile was a 32nd Mason and a member of the Aurora Lodge No. 48.  He and wife Joanne attended the Rubyville Community Church.

We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time.  Special gratitude to Best Care Nursing and Rehab Center for their love, support and medical knowledge.  They treated Estile and his family with love, kindness, and dignity.

A celebration of Estile’s life will be under the direction of the D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster.  Services will be Monday, February 26, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Willis Hagen officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 PM and Monday from 10 to 11 AM. Masonic Services will be held at 7 PM Sunday.  Interment will follow at the South Webster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Estile Williams, can be made to the Scioto Area Foundation-Bloom Vernon Legacy Fund (a scholarship to benefit South Webster High School Students), and/or Best Care Nursing and Rehab Activities Fund (residents’ activities). Condolences may be sent to
